Is fully multi-threaded and runs as a service under Windows NT or Windows 2000 platforms.

Q. What is this Software Program?

A. this Software Program gives full build capability and access to those databases that are managed by this document management software

Q. What is this Software Program’s Desktop?

A. This Software Program’s Desktop gives this Software Program Administrator the ability to limit capability and access, per group or department, to those databases that are managed by this document management software.

Q. What is this document management software?

A. IT is a Software Program Service that manages this Software Program database, is highly scalable, and gives you the ability to monitor user access.

Q. What are the main modules shipped with this document management software?

A. The basic structure of this Software Program is made up of five core components: One executable and four dynamic link library components.

.exe runs as an NT service and communicates with Version 7.0 clients using windows sockets. Uses Winsock 2.0 or Above.

.dll is a Microsoft Management Console snap-in. It provides interfaces to configure the server.

.dll is the performance monitor module for this Software Program. This is run from exe.

.dll is the viewer module for the server event logs. This is automatically used when you view this Software Program events in the event viewer.

.dll allows API access to MMC functionality of Snap-in. This is an inproc COM server that provides Software Programming interface to the server. The server itself only supports Winsock connections.

Q. What are the minimum software/hardware platforms to support this document management software?

A.

• Windows NT Server SP5 or SP6a (or) Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2000 Server SP1 • 700Mhz or higher Intel Pentium processor, or Intel compatible • RAM minimum 256MB • Winsock 2.0 or Above • Browser requirement of IE 4.0 or above (for Help) • Recommended MMC 1.2 or Above 2 • Users must have this Software Program or greater installed to use this document management software. It is recommended the Systems Administrator User predefines and assigns a data port number for this document management software

Q. Is this document management software compatible with the previous versions of this software?

A. Yes, this Software Program Suite (this Software Program Release 7.1, this document management software, and this Software Program Desktop) have been certified for use with this Software Program Web Server (AWS). Q. When do I need to upgrade to this document management software?

A. You should move to this Software Program and this document management software when you or your customer has a need for more than one builder and/or when your searching needs become greater than 25 searchers.

Q. Does this document management software support the concurrent licensing scheme?

A. Yes, this document management software uses concurrent licensing to control access to this Software Program repositories.

Q. How many serial numbers do I need for this document management software?

A. Three Licenses, One for this document management software, One for this Software Program Release 7, and One for this software Search.

Q. What is the minimum hardware/software recommendation for document management software?

A. This software versionis designed to run as a service under Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000. Sincethis document management software has a fully multi-threaded architecture, it will directly benefit from the presence of multiple processors in the server. For optimal performance, this document management software should be installed on a multi-processor Windows 2000 computer with at least 128 mega-bytes of RAM. The this software Server uses the Windows Sockets version 2.0 to communicate with this Software Program Clients. Winsock 2.0 is already installed as part of the NT4.0 or Win2000 operating system. This software version is configured from the Microsoft Management Console (MMC). Certain features of the context sensitive help may be unavailable under MMC 1.0, which ships with NT4.0. The version of MMC under Win2000 will not have these limitations. If you are running NT4.0 server, you may consider upgrading to MMC 1.2, which is available from Microsoft. This is a minor requirement and should not interfere with the operation of this document management software. This software versionis statically linked with all required runtime modules and should not prompt you to reboot the server during installation. Q. What software modules are shipped with this document management software Server?

A. The following modules will be installed and registered on the server: • AuServer.exe-is the main module that is normally run as an NT4.0 or Win2000 service. • AuServerMMC.dll-is the MMC snap-in for this document management software. • AuServerPerf.dll-exposes certain document management software statistics to the performance monitor (Perfmon.exe) Software Program. • AuServerApi.dll-provides automation interfaces to manage this document management software from Software Programming or scripting environments. • AuServerMsg.dll-is a module used by the event viewer (EventVwr.exe) to format messages from this document management software. 3 A small number of documentation files including context sensitive help for the MMC snap-in may also be installed to the server.

Q. How many serial numbers do I need for this document management software?

A. This software version supports a concurrent user-licensing scheme. The number of users allowed is determined by the serial numbers entered during the installation or from the server property dialog using MMC. There are three types of serial numbers: • This software version serial number is prefixed with the letters &AUS and is required to authenticate the server. The server will refuse to start if this serial number is missing or incorrect. • The this Software Program Client serial number is one of the usual multi-user serial numbers that determines the number of concurrent connections allowed to the server with update/modify privileges. • The this Software Program Search serial number is optional. It authenticates additional number of concurrent search only connections to this document management software.

Q. How does this document management software implement concurrent licensing?

A. There are two classes of clients that can connect to this document management software. The clients that use the this Software Program Search (AuSearch.exe) Software Program or an this Software ProgramAPI application designed for search-only access ( .Application.CanWrite property is set to False) connect to the server as “searchonly” client. Any other connections fall into the “general” client class and granted modify/update rights to this Software Program databases. The concurrency model is enforced when the user first connects to this document management software. If the connection is authenticated, the user can access any number of databases managed by the server. If a user attempts to connect as a general client and all the connections allowed by this Software Program Client license are in use, the connection will be refused. If a user attempts to connect as a search-only client, the server will first attempt to assign a search-only license determined by this Software Program Search serial number. If all of these licenses are in use, the server will allocate a general license as defined by this Software Program Client serial number. If all the general licenses are also in use, the connection will be refused. When a search-only client disconnects from the server, and if a general license was assigned to any search-only user, the disconnecting license will be returned to the general license pool. Otherwise, it will be added to the search-only license pool. Management connections to the server like the MMC, PerfMon or the Server API, will use the service port and will not consume any licenses. Q. Does my database need to reside on the same computer as this Software Program server? A. No it does not, however, it may be easier to manage if it is there.

Some of these articles are for entrepreneurs - some for our established company readers. Regardless of which you are you may find value in unusual places. Marketing tools, marketing training, and marketing software are important, however many marketing challenges stem from a lack of communication within the organization. When your managers and employees take part in regular, honest, and strategic conversations it would be easier to reach agreement on the right next step
